Size guide

Use the guide below as a starting point. Older shirts often fit differently from modern ones, so every listing also shows the shirt’s own pit-to-pit measurement.

Older and international shirts

OLDER SHIRTS
A large from the 1990s or 2000s can be baggier, boxier or shorter than a large today.
EUROPEAN SHIRTS
Some European shirts, especially older ones, are labelled with numbers or chest sizes instead of S, M and L.
JAPANESE & ASIAN SHIRTS
Shirts made for Japanese and Asian markets usually run around a size small.
Whatever the tag says, the pit-to-pit on the listing is the number to trust.
PIT TO PIT

Every shirt is measured

On every listing you’ll find the shirt’s pit-to-pit measurement, taken with the shirt laid flat: straight across the chest, armpit to armpit.

If it’s within your range on the guide, you’re good to go. If it’s near the edge, compare it with a shirt you already own that fits you well.

Find your fit in three steps

  1. 1
Find your usual size on the guide above.
  2. 2
Check the pit-to-pit on the listing falls in that range.
  3. 3
Not sure? Lay a shirt you love flat, measure it the same way and compare.

Fan and player versions

Fan versions are the standard shirts sold in club shops. Player versions are what the squad wore: usually a slimmer fit, lighter fabric and sometimes heat-pressed badges. We always state which version a shirt is.
